Does the color of the car affect how well it hides previous accident damage? (4 อ่าน)

This might be a stupid question but I’ve been looking at a silver 2019 Nissan Patrol and something about the way the light hits the rear quarter panel just looks slightly different compared to the door next to it. I know silver is supposed to be one of the hardest colors to match perfectly when repainting, so I’m wondering if I’m actually seeing evidence of previous bodywork or if I’m just being paranoid because I’ve been reading too many horror stories on here. I really like the car otherwise, the interior is spotless and the test drive went well, but I can’t shake that feeling that the seller might be downplaying something. I don’t want to accuse him of anything without knowing for sure, but I also don’t want to hand over a chunk of my savings only to find out later that the car had been in a pretty serious crash. I was thinking maybe the smart approach is to just arrange a Pre Purchase Car Inspection and have a professional look specifically at the structure and paintwork instead of trying to guess based on my own untrained eyes. Has anyone else ever bought a car in silver or white and later found out it had repairs that were really hard to spot under normal lighting? Just trying to figure out if I’m being reasonable or if I should just walk away and keep looking.
