How to Improve FPS in Forza Horizon 6 (4 อ่าน)

1. Fix the “Micro-Stutter” Driver Bug
Many players see high average FPS but still feel choppy gameplay. This is due to a bug with the game’s built-in frame limiter and VSync.
In-Game Settings:
Go to the Video menu.
Turn VSync off.
Set Frame Rate to Unlocked.
For Nvidia GPUs:
Open the Nvidia Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings → Program Settings → select Forza Horizon 6.
Turn VSync ON globally and manually set a Max Frame Rate.
Set Low Latency Mode to Ultra.
For AMD GPUs:
Open Radeon Adrenalin → Radeon Chill.
Cap your framerate 3 FPS below your monitor’s refresh rate.
This ensures the game doesn’t fight your GPU, eliminating uneven frame pacing.
2. Tweak High-Impact Graphics Options
Some graphics settings look amazing but cost huge FPS. Adjusting these gives you a smoother experience without a huge visual downgrade:
Ray Tracing Quality: Turn Off. RTGI and full ray tracing tank FPS even on beefy cards.
Shadow Quality & Night Shadows: Set to High or Medium. Ultra/Extreme is a GPU killer.
Environment Texture Quality: Match this to your GPU VRAM. For example, if you have 8GB, set it to High. Using too much VRAM disables upscaling.
Volumetric Fog Quality: Drop to Low or Medium for an instant ~10% FPS boost.
These changes keep visuals nice while letting your system breathe.
3. Enable Modern Upscaling & Frame Generation
Don’t lower your resolution! Modern upscaling gives better FPS without blurry visuals.
For Nvidia Users:
Enable DLSS.
Use Quality mode for 1080p/1440p or Balanced for 4K.
Only use DLSS Frame Generation if your FPS is already above 60. Below that, it adds input lag.
For AMD Users:
Turn on FSR 3.1.5, set to Quality.
Same rule: only enable Frame Generation if your base FPS is stable.
Extra Tip: If you’re not using Frame Generation, turn Nvidia Reflex / Anti-Lag off. In FH6, it can actually make frame times unstable.
4. Critical Hardware Fixes
Some FPS issues are caused by hardware quirks rather than settings:
Bluetooth Controller Bug: If your FPS suddenly drops from 90+ to 20–30 after a few minutes, disconnect your controller and use a wired USB one. Bluetooth driver conflicts can cripple CPU simulation.
Storage Location: Install the game on an NVMe SSD. Running it on an old HDD causes lag, stuttering, and pop-in of assets.
Forza Horizon 6 is visually stunning but can be demanding. By following these steps—fixing VSync bugs, lowering high-impact settings, enabling smart upscaling, and handling hardware quirks—you can dramatically improve FPS and enjoy smooth racing.
Even on mid-range rigs, these tweaks can turn choppy gameplay into buttery-smooth action. Race smart, tweak wisely, and keep your pedal to the metal!
