The brand has been offering watches for some time now, having previously worked closely with Eterna. However, recently Porsche Design has begun to branch out on its own. I recently had the opportunity to get my hands on a watch at the company’s boutique in Knightsbridge, London, which is just a few meters away from the legendary Harrods department store.

Dial

The Chronotimer Series 1 features a dark grey dial with a contrasting dark blue ring surrounding the subdials and main dial area. The contrast between the two tones is very subtle, but I think it would be more noticeable in different lighting conditions.

The hour and minute hands are modern in style and are lined with white luminous material. The hour markers combine short sticks (for even hours) with neat Arabic minute markers (for odd hours). The watch is almost stripped down to its bare essentials, resulting in a clean, minimalist look.
