If you’ve made it to the Season 11 endgame, you’ve probably had the same ugly surprise I did: you’re not short on loot, you’re short on Obducite. It’s the kind of material you used to forget existed, and now it’s the thing stopping your Masterworking from moving at all. You can have a great drop sitting in your bag and still feel stuck, because the upgrades just won’t happen. Even if you’re also farming Diablo 4 gold, this one resource is what makes your progress feel slow.

A lot of players default to standard Nightmare Dungeons, because that&rsquo;s what we&rsquo;ve done for ages. But the math doesn&rsquo;t feel good anymore. And &ldquo;fine&rdquo; doesn&rsquo;t cut it when you&rsquo;re trying to push higher-tier Masterworking and every click eats your stash. The best shift this season is treating Horadric Strongrooms like the main objective, not a bonus. When you get a sigil that leads you into a dungeon where a Strongroom can spawn, you&rsquo;re basically hunting a jackpot room. Go in, find it, clear the event, grab the big chest, and dip. Yeah, leaving a dungeon unfinished feels wrong the first time. Then you do it twice and realise you&rsquo;ve gained more materials in minutes than you&rsquo;d get from dragging yourself through a full clear. If you&rsquo;ve got the powder, reroll sigils toward layouts that make Strongrooms show up more often, and don&rsquo;t get sentimental about &ldquo;completion.&rdquo;.

If you can&rsquo;t stand the reset loop, rotate in other content so you don&rsquo;t burn out. Infernal Hordes won&rsquo;t drown you in materials like they used to, but picking the materials-focused reward at the end still keeps you moving. It&rsquo;s also easier to justify if you&rsquo;re chasing gear at the same time. The Kurast Undercity with Tributes is another steady option: predictable structure, consistent payout, less running in circles. It&rsquo;s not as explosive as a Strongroom hit, but it&rsquo;s calmer, and sometimes that matters.

The sneaky problem isn&rsquo;t only farming, it&rsquo;s how fast you waste what you earn. Don&rsquo;t try to Masterwork five slots at once. You&rsquo;ll regret it. Start with your main weapon, then the pieces that actually make your build function, and leave the &ldquo;nice to have&rdquo; upgrades for later. Chasing perfect rolls on every side item is how people end up grinding all night for a couple of clicks. Play it tight, farm smarter, and if you&rsquo;re trying to smooth out the rest of your progression with trade or gearing, some folks even choose to buy Diablo 4 gold so the whole upgrade loop feels less punishing.
